Life is a journey : Humpty Dumpty gets the ‘All Clear’

Here I sit at the end of another week wondering where I have been and what have I accomplished. If I look at the “To Do” list I wrote down this time last Friday, I haven’t achieved a lot from that list. Nonetheless, I am more than happy with what else was achieved within the week. Let me tell you why …. it begins ….

Hospital photoHumpty Dumpty climbed a tree, Humpty Dumpty slipped … and his parents went oooohhh Gee.
All the scans and checks were done, now once again Humpty and his parents have fun.

If you are wondering what I am going on about, my son fell out of a tree last Sunday from about 2-3 metres high and landed on his head on a concrete path. Ambulance rushed him to hospital where we were looked after quite well (apart from an x-ray being taken of the wrong foot). It seemed like I wasn’t really in the room when I saw my brave little man.

The week that followed has been a bit of a blur. My apologies to some clients who haven’t received a response in the normal timeframes I like to deliver.

HappyHe’s come out of it with a shining multi-coloured eye and a cast on his foot that is meant to be slowing him down. He’s back at it and up to more mischief as boys are meant to be.

Phew …my (& my sons) personal experience with this traumatic event could have been much, much worse.

After a few weeks in a row where I have let myself work longer hours than normal (because at the time I thought it was important); it has been a good wake up to stop, regain some balance and ensure my own priorities are in order with the things I place a great deal of value on.

If you need any help doing the same, please contact us.

Hope Humpty Dumpty bounces back quick and any cracks heal well. Prioroity checks hit like a brick most times. Take Care. Linda.

Yeah, I’ve been doing some long hours too lately. It’s a timely reminder here as well.

This will make a good story to tell at his 21st or wedding…
