Budgeting … its time well spent
Monday, November 27th, 2006My wife and I recently sat down and looked at where we are now, compared with where we were a few years ago. We both resisted taking the time to actually implement some processes or sit down and spend the time reviewing our personal budget for a long time. I’m glad we finally did something. We occasionally still have our blow outs, but that is human nature. We now have the habit and processes in place that keep us on track.
The proof really is in the eating of the pudding. The time we spent then really has been an investment in our future. As the old saying goes: if you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.
There is a lot of useful information available on the internet that gives tips and hints to help people in various situations. It is important to try a few things and make sure the process you use is the right one for you. Not wanting to use another adapted cliche but I can’t help myself; budgeting works … the results won’t happen over night, but it will happen.
